PRECISION FORKLIFT OPERATOR TRAINING (4 Hours)

In certain commercial and industrial sectors, Aerospace and Aeronautical applications for example, the need for a Precision Forklift Operator is critical. The cost of having a Qualified Competent Precision trained Forklift Operator fades in comparison to the high cost of damaged merchandise caused by an uncertified Operator.

Training Objective:

• Help the candidate to strive for and obtain a superior level of understanding and competency with regard to his or her specific material handling application.
• Help the candidate to be more productive.
• Help the candidate to gain control in certain material handling circumstances.
• Help the candidate to understand, react and make sound decisions with regard to operating safely.

The Training is primarily made up of practical activities that relate to the following points:

• Estimating Load Weight
• Finding center of gravity
• Effective use of Pivot Points
• Correct use of Transmission «inching brake pedal»
• Displacement of Loads on uneven surfaces «rough terrain»
• Displacement of Loads in motion
• Maneuvering within confined areas
• Safety with regard to > Lifting > Rigging and Slinging
